Molloy's Whispers

Sound installation, three minutes. wood and cellophane. 230 x 150 x 113cm. 2015.

This acoustic device is kept by a thin and precarious block. Inside, a whispered soundtrack broadcasts an excerpt of Molloy by Samuel Beckett, inviting the spectator to risks himself below the structure.

Actor of a life where the meaning’s matter is settled in an arbitrary way, the beckettian character embodies the danger of the absurd from the moment life is deprived of any absolute foundation, when it becomes nothing more than a perpetual wandering and unpleasant state, like the mineral wool that covers the inside of the structure.

Beyond traping somebody for real, this installation aims at provoking a feeling of vigilance to the visitor.
